The most beautiful zoo I know (and I know quite a lot ;-)):
Schönbrunn Zoo of Vienna.
Dr.Pechlarner, the now retailed director, managed to integrate the old imparial menagerie buildings into a modern and exemplary zoo.

Since the new enclosures are built around those old cages, you get some funny inside-outside views.
